According to Microsoft, the goal of the new service is to reduce the complications that occur from utilizing several security products across many devices and operating systems.
For example, if someone uses an antivirus and ransomware protection service on their Windows PC but another one on their iPhone and a separate one on their Android tablet to guard against the same types of cyberattacks.
Microsoft says that this dispersed approach is causing gaps in the security ecosystem by making detailed oversight impossible.
Security Compliance, Identity, and Management said that people frequently turn to several security tools, with distributed security monitoring and device management, to help keep their data secret and devices safe. This disintegration makes keeping up with prevalent online dangers much more difficult.
By combining current technology in novel ways, we must adapt our security solutions to fit the individual demands of our customers at home and work.
While some customers rely only on Microsoft security solutions, Microsoft recognizes that many others choose to use services from firms such as Norton and McAfee. As a result, Microsoft has integrated third-party product support into the Microsoft Defender for Individuals panel.
The program also claims to expand default Windows malware defenses across all devices. Though it will not overrule current security settings.
Microsoft said that they are happy to take this step forward in their ongoing commitment to security for everybody. The release of Microsoft Defender is just the beginning of the efforts to help users thoroughly safeguard their digital life with technology you can rely on.
