Microsoft Teams update will make it easier for you to have autonomy over your desktop app.
The software giant has announced that it is gearing up on an update that most users would appreciate.
The company has explained in Microsoft 365 roadmap that this update will allow Teams users to choose local folders to download files from the app.
With this update users would be able to choose the default location for downloaded files. This update will be applicable to the desktop Teams app. Microsoft is optimistic about this update as it would be appreciated by many users who wanted to select download folders.
Although it does not seem like an out-of-this-world update for users who have to download files regularly, it is crucial for us.
Keeping it fresh
Though the pandemic is now almost over. However, hybrid work and remote work is still on the rise. Offices are not relevant anymore as the hub for work.
One thing is for sure that Microsoft makes the most effective productivity tools. Microsoft 365 suite services including Microsoft Teams is the company’s champion. It boomed and gained users to make remote work and hybrid work possible during isolation periods.
Now that Google Workspace is attracting more customers with its new and useful updates, Microsoft has to keep up. As we can see the company is making regular changes to Teams, MS 365 suite, and even Outlook complete redesign since the two giants locked horns.
According to an independent survey conducted recently, 60% of businesses prefer the Microsoft office 365 productivity suite, and 15% prefer Google Workspace.
Although Microsoft is in the lead. However, the company should not stay put on these achievements as complacency kills innovation.
Microsoft should make sure that Team accommodates all the users not just the ones company prefers. Only then can the company continue to take lead on an opponent as strong as Google.
