Now users can easily share Word files on OneDrive for convenient editing
The new OneDrive update would make editing and reviewing Microsoft Word documents much more engaging.
The software giant has announced that it is developing a new feature for its cloud storage platform. This will allow users to easily exchange and evaluate Microsoft Word files online.
According to this update, Microsoft Word online users will be able to share documents online. By simply clicking the Share command under the eponymous button, then add the individuals they need to review the document to send it to OneDrive.

To review users will choose the new “can review” option, which grants the chosen person access to the Word document that has to be reviewed.
This feature is still listed as “in development” on the official Microsoft 365 roadmap.
The latest feature of Microsoft Word strives to ensure that the platform is ready for customers who are embracing the new world of hybrid working.
Another update would allow users to seamlessly navigate between editing, reviewing, and reading a document. Microsoft is attempting to bring Word up to speed with its main competitor, Google Docs.
Users will also see a new Editing button on the Microsoft Word ribbon. When selected it would provide three choices.
- Editing, which is enabled by default, allows the user to make changes to the document directly.
- Reviewing allows the user to offer revisions, ideas, or comments.
- Viewing just allows you to read through the content without making any changes.
In addition, Microsoft office 365 parent company recently revealed that its famous predictive typing function will soon be available in Word for Mac. The Editor Text Predictions function predicts your next words and proposes words or phrases as you write. It enhances the writing process substantially for those of us who are slow at typing.
